It all began…In 1971 when Harry & Bernice Edmark purchased two insurance agencies in western Marquette County, forming the Viall-Dighera-Edmark Insurance Agency. Shortly thereafter, the Edmark’s became sole owners of the agency and renamed the business Iron Range Agency. Their son, Tom Edmark, joined the firm in 1977 and would later purchase the agency in 1988. Since that time, the agency has grown from a staff of six to a current staff of twelve. Along the way the agency purchased Custom Insurance Agency in 1998 and Jennings Insurance in 2007.

 

In 2015, Tom Edmark sold his agency to four of his long-time employees. Tom remained with the agency through 2017 as Senior Executive Advisor, and now is enjoying retirement. The management team then consisted of Scott Lyman, Jill Stagliano, Tracy Magnuson and Coleen Pepin as equal partners. At the end of 2020, Jill Stagliano retired from the agency with over 40 years in the insurance business. The remaining three partners have a collective total of nearly 100 years with the agency. Our core values remain the same as they have always been, to serve our clients to the best of our ability and to protect their valuable assets.
